Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field (Matthew 13:44 NKJV).
What is God’s kingdom worth to you?
Jesus tells the parable about a man who finds treasure hidden in a field and then goes and purchases that field. Likewise, He tells of a merchant who finds a priceless pearl who sold all he had to purchase it. It’s costly, but it's worth having that pearl. These are examples of how we should treasure God's kingdom. God’s kingdom surpasses any earthly treasure.
Jesus introduces the kingdom of God to Nicodemus and said that you need to be born again to enter that Kingdom (John 3:3). May I encourage you to place your faith in Jesus, who was lifted up so that you can enter the kingdom of God. In other words, that you may be born again.
Employment Point: Obtaining God’s kingdom is worth tremendous sacrifice.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
