Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

I am the resurrection and the life (John 11:25 NKJV).
Have you ever considered the importance of Jesus' "I am" statements?
In John’s gospel, Jesus makes seven profound declarations starting with "I AM." The fifth occurs during Lazarus’ resurrection. It is based on Exodus 3:14 (NKJV), where God reveals His name to Moses as "I AM WHO I AM." This repetition emphasizes God's eternal nature. When Jesus tells Martha He is the source of resurrection and eternal life in John 11:25, He challenges her with a question, “Do you believe this?” (John 11:26 NKJV).
Please take some time today to reflect on the implications of Jesus' identity as the eternal source of life. Consider how believing in Him transforms your perspective on life and death. Share this truth with others, inviting them to embrace Jesus as the giver of eternal life. Because of Jesus, you don’t have to fear death!
Employment Point: Believe in Jesus, who is the resurrection and the life.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
