Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

For the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children (2 Corinthians 12:14 NKJV).
How are you investing in the next generation of Christians?
Look at wise King David, a man deeply devoted to God and his son Solomon. Despite not being permitted to build the Temple himself, David ensures that Solomon is well-equipped for the task. David said, "Solomon my son is young and inexperienced, and the house to be built for the LORD must be exceedingly magnificent, famous and glorious throughout all countries. I will now make preparation for it" (1 Chronicles 22:5 NKJV).
Let's follow David's example by investing in the spiritual growth and physical well-being of the next generation. As a pastor, I pray that more men and women in the church will take the time to mentor or support young Christians in their congregation. Offering practical guidance, encouragement, and resources to help them grow spiritually and fulfill their God-given calling.
Employment Point: Serve the next generation and others through your sacrifices.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
