Calculate Correctly

Jesus taught that in the Kingdom, the math works differently: the last can be first, and the first, last. True greatness is not measured by power or status but by serving. Strength is made perfect in weakness, and genuine wealth is found in giving.

God’s logic is countercultural:

• In the world: nothing + nothing = nothing.
• In the Kingdom: nothing + God = everything.

Even in our finances, God invites us to trust His calculations rather than our own. When He asks us to bring Him the first and the best, He promises to open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there won’t be room to store it. What seems like loss to human eyes becomes multiplication in His hands. I'd rather have God’s blessing over my 90% than exclude Him from my 100%.

God’s math always challenges ours: with Him, losing is winning, dying is living, giving is receiving, and serving is reigning.

The Kingdom of God calls us to live by a different logic. Abundant life isn't about collecting but releasing. It’s not about how much we can keep but how much we're willing to sow. The challenge is to trust that every step of obedience and generosity moves us closer to the fullness God planned for us.

• What areas of my life am I measuring using the world's logic instead of trusting God's calculations?
• In what tangible ways can I practice generosity and service as expressions of my faith in His provision?

Prayer: Lord, teach me to trust Your logic, not mine. What I place in Your hands becomes a blessing. Help me to give with joy and live knowing that in Your Kingdom, nothing is ever lost. In Jesus' name, amen.
