God's PlansSample

19. Your Love Endures Forever
Why: God’s plans are based on love
Lectio. “The Lord will vindicate me; your love, Lord, endures forever—do not abandon the works of your hands.” (Psalm 138:8, NIV – read Ps. 138).
Meditatio. Repeating his devotional practice also in this psalm, David first worshiped God and then presented his petition. He praised Him for what the Lord had done for him (vv. 1–3) and for what He had done for all people (vv. 4–6).
Oratio. Worship and thank the Lord for His love and faithfulness, revealed both in His person and His Word, and in His answers to prayer. Praise Him also for His promises, His deeds, and His mercy over all.
Contemplatio. Contemplate the glory of God. See Him attentive to your troubles and to the enemies surrounding you. Now notice His right hand stretched out in a powerful gesture, ruling and resolving all things.
Confessio. Throughout life, my innovative spirit has led me to start many things without always finishing them before beginning others. It is a great comfort to know that God fulfills His purposes and always completes what He begins.

About this Plan

The world is becoming increasingly hostile to the gospel, and many believers struggle to keep their faith strong. That’s why we need to go deeper into God’s Word and learn to see our lives through His plans. In this 21-day journey of Lectio Divina, you will discover from Scripture what God’s plans are, how they work, and why seeking them brings security, joy, and purpose in every circumstance.
