Centered on Christ - Dwelling in His Divine PurposeSample

Realize Purpose and Divine Appointment
It's easy to focus only on our current situation, but God calls us to see the bigger picture. His Word reminds us that He is omniscient — He knows the beginning, the end, and everything in between. He is the Alpha and the Omega. Before forming us in our mother’s womb, He knew us. Our time, place, and existence in history is NOT by chance; we are each created ON purpose, FOR a purpose.
Esther’s story shows how God places us exactly where we need to be, in a specific time and place. Her royal position was not just about privilege but divine opportunity. Likewise, the roles we hold — in our homes, workplaces, or communities — carry eternal significance. When we understand our purpose in Christ, our choices become anchored in faith, drawing us and others closer to Him.
A friend recently shared that she was really struggling with her current placement in life (career, her family’s focus on worldly things, etc.). After a time of leaning into Him, reading His Word, praying, and seeking Godly counsel, she was able to see the decisions she had made landed her where she was, but she realized that being in the center of HIS will is where she needed to be.
Once we recognize position and placement as divine appointments from God, we can literally change the world around us for the cause of Christ. We need to be willing to be used in great ways for the kingdom, right where God has us, and trust where He will place us as we follow Him!
Reflection
- Think about your current situation in life — work, home, community, friends, church, etc. Are there any areas that you are holding back on or find dissension in? Surrender these to God.
- What do you most identify with in the story of Esther? Ask the Lord to reveal to you why you were created “for such a time as this.”
- Recall a moment when you knew God placed you exactly where you were meant to be. Was it to help someone, for protection, or to fulfill part of His plan? Trust Him as you reflect on these things.
About this Plan

Life can leave us feeling overwhelmed, but the Bible teaches that God is before us—nothing surprises Him. Dwelling in His purpose gives us strength, courage, and stability amid life’s storms. How do we do that, though, when choices land us in vortex situations? In this 5-day plan for women, rooted in Esther’s story, we’ll explore how to rely on the Solid Rock, so when whirlwinds come, we are ready.
