Daily Thread: When the tabernacle, the place where the Lord's presence would dwell, was completed, God’s glory filled it, showing His desire to dwell with His people. The twelve tribes camped around the tabernacle in a specific order, with God’s presence literally at the center of their community. This arrangement showed that God’s dwelling was to be the defining characteristic of Israel’s identity. The theme of God’s presence runs from Eden to the tabernacle, the temple, Christ, and ultimately to the new creation.
