Threads: How the Bible Weaves TogetherSample

Day 29: The Gospel Explained
Daily Thread: The Epistles, or Letters (Romans through Jude), explain the meaning of Christ’s work and how His people are to live. Paul, writing to the Romans, ties sin back to Adam, faith back to Abraham, and righteousness back to the Law and Prophets. James even opens his letter to “the twelve tribes scattered among the nations,” showing that the church saw itself as the continuation of God’s covenant people. The gospel fulfills the promises made to Israel and unites Jew and Gentile into one people of God.
