Daily Thread: Jesus’ command to make disciples of all nations fulfilled God’s original promise to Abraham that all nations would be blessed through his descendants. The scattered tribes of Israel longed for restoration, but in Christ, the mission widened to include all peoples. Baptism in the name of the Father, Son, and Spirit marked entry into the new covenant community, the church. This moment united the storyline of Scripture into one mission: God’s glory among all nations through Christ.
