Giving Thanks to God in the WildernessSample

His Word for Today: Book of Numbers 3:25-26
God gives each one of us a unique responsibility to fulfill that can never be fulfilled by someone else.
But what is keeping us from fulfilling those responsibilities? Is it bitterness, offense, or pride? We can choose to receive rest from Christ (Ref Matthew 11:28) allowing and suffering revealing His forgiveness. ("Forgiveness" is aphiémi in Greek, which includes the definition allowing and suffering, just as Christ exemplified on the cross not reacting to the attacks He received but rather allowed the opposition to attack Him and chose to suffer instead. Through choosing to forgive this way enables us to experience total freedom and rest. (Ref Mark 11:25)) Humility to receive, accept these truths can transform our lives from inside and out.
Also, the Scriptures teach us to stand where we are resisting the attacks from the devil. (Ref Ephesians 6:13) We don’t need to forfeit our position of rest to attain victory. We can continue to hold our position of rest and experience victory. We don’t need to strive or use our strength to battle. We can simply resist through His strength.
Today, let us ask the Lord to speak to us about what is keeping us from fulfilling the purpose He has for each one of us.
May the Lord continue to richly bless you!
