Day 24: God Will Give You a Breakthrough

Affirmation
God will provide a breakthrough.

Devotion
Many years ago, I desperately needed a breakthrough from God. I committed to a 21-day fast—praying, reading the Word, journaling, and refraining from certain foods. Each day, I woke up early to seek Him, meditate on scripture, and write prayers to carry me through that difficult season. At the end of the fast, God gave me the breakthrough I needed.

This is the kind of God we serve. His Word promises that when we seek Him with our whole hearts, He hears our prayers. Scripture also reminds us that some victories only come through prayer and fasting. When we press into Him, declaring His Word and promises over our lives, breakthrough follows.

If you are in need of a breakthrough today, push in just a little deeper. Set aside distractions, silence the noise of the world, and seek God wholeheartedly. He is faithful to respond.

The most powerful part of that fast was not only the breakthrough I received but what came afterward. God instructed me to write my first book, 21 Days of Powerful Breakthroughs. That season of seeking God revealed a hidden purpose—writing—that I never knew was part of His plan for my life. What began as a cry for breakthrough turned into a lifelong calling and a career as a writer and journalist. God not only provided the breakthrough I needed but also revealed a greater purpose for my life!

Abba Father,

I pray today for a breakthrough. I stand on Your promises and believe You will provide what I need concerning [state request]. Thank You for leading me in this season and showing me how to press deeper into relationship with You. Help me to seek You with my whole heart and to trust You completely in all things. It is in Jesus Christ’s name, I pray. Amen.
