Day 28: God Will Help You Overcome Fear

Scripture
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”– Isaiah 41:10 NKJV

Affirmation
God will help me overcome fear.

Devotion
I can recall a time when I needed to testify against someone. In the days leading up to the court case, I was anxious and filled with fear. I worried about retaliation and felt overwhelmed by the weight of it all. I decided in my heart that I would not testify.

But I prayed, and God reassured me that I would be victorious. So, I stepped out on faith and showed up anyway. On the day of the trial, God moved. My presence and a short statement were all it took for the case to be won. I didn’t even have to go through the full testimony—I simply had to trust Him. In that moment, I realized that God had shown up for me.

The Bible is clear: God commands us not to fear. He promises to go before us and make crooked places straight (Isaiah 45:2). These promises are not empty words but powerful assurances of His protection and faithfulness.

Fear may try to paralyze us, but faith sets us free. Today, I want to challenge you:Do not fear. Whatever keeps you up at night, whatever situation makes you anxious—turn it over to God. He promises to deliver you from every distress. Fill your heart with His Word, and let His promises equip you to overcome fear.

Prayer
Abba Father,

I come to You today and release these fears that have overtaken my heart and life. I ask You specifically concerning [state request], and I stand on Your promise that I will not fear or be afraid. I trust that You are working this out for me and that it will turn around for my good. I declare that I walk in victory and can do all things through You who gives me strength. It is in Jesus Christ’s name, I pray. Amen.
