Day 23: God Will Give You A Miracle

Affirmation
God will give me a miracle.

Devotion
About five years ago, my mother joined a prayer group that faithfully prayed for those battling cancer. Never did she imagine that years later she herself would be diagnosed. When she shared the news with us, we gathered together as a family and as prayer warriors, lifting her up and believing God for a healing miracle.

Before her surgery, which lasted three and a half hours, she physically wrote healing scriptures all over her left leg. The last one she wrote declared: “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” (Psalm 118:17). After the surgery, her doctor told her that if she committed to three rounds of chemotherapy, she would be cancer-free. She committed, and God carried her through.

During her chemo sessions, she continued to work as a pre-K teacher. She never experienced weakness, nausea, or fatigue, though she did lose her hair and wore a wig. But even in that, God’s grace sustained her. The miracle we prayed for came to pass. Today, my mother is cancer-free, living proof that God still works miracles.

Her testimony reminds us that miracles are not just stories from the Bible; they are happening now. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8 NKJV), and He is still in the business of providing miracles.

Prayer
Abba Father,

Thank You, Lord, for being my way maker and miracle provider. No matter what I may face, I know You are still in the business of working miracles. I stand on Your Word and believe that whatever I need today, You are more than able to provide. Heal my unbelief, remove all doubt, and help me to trust fully that You are a God who honors His Word. It is in Jesus Christ’s name, I pray. Amen.
