The Priceless Treasure of ChristmasSample

“For God so loved the world that He gave…”
Christmastime is a season for gifts and gift-giving. Some people search for a new and popular gift — the one thing everyone wants.
Folks will stampede like migrating herds through malls and superstores. Crowds will engage in commercial combat to claim the most popular present, because if everyone wants it, that must mean it’s worth buying.
Other people would prefer what’s rare. They don’t just want anything; they want the one thing no one else can have.
Finally, there are others who measure their gift in the form of time. If someone makes $10 an hour and gives you a $100 gift, they invested ten hours of their life, and that has value.
But no matter how you measure gifts, I want to propose to you that nothing else can top this:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16, NKJV).
Most assuredly, the gifts this world offers are temporary, fragile, and fleeting. But the priceless gift of Jesus brings the only path to peace — a peace that silences fear and reconciles us to God.
Jesus Christ is the most popular gift because He has been sought after by men and women from every tribe, nation, tongue, color, and culture throughout the centuries.
He is the rarest gift that has ever been received...because no other gift can cleanse you of sin and give you everlasting life.
He is the most heartfelt gift because God loved you so much that, rather than remain in eternity without you, He sent His Son to redeem you.
And in terms of time, no gift has done to time what Jesus did when He was born in Bethlehem!
