Faith Without Works is Dead

Faith is not passive. James makes it clear that genuine faith must produce fruit. Words of comfort without action ring hollow to someone in need. It’s easy to profess belief, but true faith reveals itself in how we respond to the practical needs of others. Faith is confidence in God’s promises, but works are the evidence of that confidence. When our trust in God moves our hands and feet, it becomes visible to the world. A faith that remains only in thought or speech is incomplete—it is dead. But faith that serves, gives, and acts becomes alive and powerful.
