Jesus is central to time and existence.
History foretold Him; His birth was divine, His death broke the tyranny of sin and His resurrection became man's pathway to life. Through Christ, God rescued the lost, broken and rejected. Through faith in Him, man is saved and restored to new life.
But the grace of God didn't leave it there... He also gave each one a calling, a purpose and the authority to accomplish it.
As a follower of Jesus, you are His representatives on earth; you carry His presence and your body is His temple (1 Cor 6:19). The Apostle John calls it, "Christ's divine presence within" (1 John 5:18 Amplified)
What's more, you are not an accident or coincidence; you were born at exactly the right time and place. Acts 17:26 says,
"And He made from one [common origin, one source, one blood] all nations of men to settle on the face of the earth, having definitely determined [their] allotted periods of time and the fixed boundaries of their habitation (their settlements, lands, and abodes)"
Everything is about Jesus.
The devil comes only to "steal, kill and destroy" (John 10:10), but Jesus came so that we can have a full, abundant and overflowing life - a revived life... a life of purpose and significance. Jesus gave us the authority to speak His Word over circumstances, over opposition and over any device of the enemy to withhold or devastate. When we speak God's words, we are speaking victory over all that tries to lift itself above the knowledge of Jesus (2 Cor 10:5).
When we declare God's Word we are speaking solution, victory and redemption. Just as the prophets spoke of Jesus through the ages past, when we speak His Word, we speak all Jesus is and has accomplished into our here and now.
Go into your world and speak Jesus!
Do everything readily and cheerfully-no bickering, no second-guessing allowed! Go out into the world uncorrupted, a breath of fresh air in this squalid and polluted society. Provide people with a glimpse of good living and of the living God. Carry the light-giving Message into the night so I'll have good cause to be proud of you on the day that Christ returns. You'll be living proof that I didn't go through all this work for nothing.
