The Atmosphere of His Presence

In the beginning, God chose to place man and woman in an atmosphere that was not only earthly but also spiritual (Genesis 2:8).

Everything God created, He placed in a specific atmosphere, providing everything necessary for it to live and prosper. For example, God created fish and put them in the water, and they cannot survive outside of that environment. Likewise, He created human beings to live in the atmosphere of His presence, where He dwells, and they cannot survive outside of it. That is why you can be surrounded by luxuries or many people and still feel depressed, lonely, anxious, and full of fear. Your spirit is not in the right atmosphere!

Without the atmosphere of God’s presence, our spirit dies. His presence is our natural environment, which is conducive to our spiritual, emotional, and mental functioning, so that we may be healthy, happy, and fulfilled.

The most important component of creation is the atmosphere and environment in which it is supposed to live.

God, the Maker, first created the environment and then created the “product,” human beings, because the environment is as important as the product. When we remove that creation from its original environment, it begins to fail. And if we keep it out of it, it will be completely damaged and die.

God’s presence is also a space of influence and protection.

How Do We Generate an Atmosphere of His Presence?

The atmosphere of God’s presence is built through the sounds, words, prayer, and worship of the angels in Heaven and us on earth (Revelation 4:2-5; 7:11-12).

We must remain in continuous worship of God, nurturing the atmosphere where He dwells, and living in it.

Do you want to leave the atmosphere of spiritual death and move into the life God created for you? Do you want to stop spiritually surviving and have the fullness of life in God’s presence? Follow this simple advice:

Set aside a time each day to pray to God, asking nothing of Him and giving Him exclusively your gratitude and worship. Do this until the atmosphere in your home begins to change from earthly to heavenly. I assure you that it will be impossible not to notice the difference!
