Restoring the Presence of God in My LifeSample

The Need to Restore God’s Presence
A few years ago, while praying to God during a fast, the Lord spoke to my spirit about the urgent need to restore His presence in the church (both locally and globally) in these end times before the second coming of Jesus.
What Is the Presence of God?
In the Old Testament, the word “presence” is translated from the Hebrew panim, while in the New Testament, it comes from the Greek word parousia. Both words have similar meanings: face, countenance, presence, and relationship. God’s presence is His very face, and to be in His presence is to be face-to-face with Him, as Moses was (Exodus 33:11).
When the presence of God comes to a place or person, it is the Lord revealing His face and seeking intimacy.
God’s Presence Revealed
As an omnipresent being, God is everywhere, but His presence is not revealed in every place. What you want is the revelation of His presence in your heart, your prayers, your home, your work or business, your daily struggles, the little things that keep you awake at night, as well as the major crises you may face.
In John 14:21, the word manifest means to reveal, show, or declare. It is to bring something from the invisible realm into the visible realm; from the unknown to the known; from the intangible to the tangible. When God reveals His presence to our senses, we experience an encounter with Him.
When was the last time you experienced God’s manifested presence? When did God’s face reveal itself in your prayer? If you have never experienced His presence in a tangible way, I invite you to begin today to seek that revelation. If you have, but it’s not something you experience daily, today your eyes will be opened to this truth: God’s presence can be experienced as a lifestyle, as the Father’s constant companionship, if we make room for Him in our hearts. If you want this, pray with me:
“Heavenly Father, I long for Your presence to be revealed and manifested, visible and tangible, in my life today. I come to You with renewed faith, declaring the promise written in John 14:21. I love You and obey You; manifest Your presence in my heart, now, in Jesus’ name. I receive it!”
