Through the Word: Knowing God, Making Him KnownSample

God Speak Today:
Throughout the Bible, we see that God speaks in many different ways—and He still speaks today. Whether it’s through a still, small voice, His written Word, an audible prompting, dreams, visions, through other people, or even deep inner impressions—God is always seeking to communicate with His people. Each of these methods reveals His heart: He is a relational God who longs to speak to you personally. But God doesn’t just speak for our comfort or inspiration—He speaks to be obeyed. When He reveals His heart or gives direction, our role isn’t just to listen passively, but to respond with faith-filled obedience. Prayer isn’t a one-way conversation; it’s a dialogue that invites action. Sometimes, His guidance will stretch us, challenge us, or call us out of our comfort zone. But every time we respond with trust and obedience, we grow closer to His heart and help bring His Kingdom to earth.
Take five minutes today to sit in stillness before Him. Ask, “Lord, what are You saying—and how can I respond in obedience?” As you open your heart to the many ways He may speak, also prepare your heart to follow wherever He leads. Below are listed different ways God has spoken to people in the Bible.
For more ways God speaks, read these verses: 1 Kings 19:11-13, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Matthew 3:17, Daniel 2, Luke 24:32, Philippians 4:4-7, John 10:3-4, Romans 1:20, 1 Corinthians 14:3, Acts 16:9, Acts 10:9 (NIV)
