Never Too Late

"This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." PSALM 118:24 ESV

You may be reading this devotion thinking, I’m too old or too set in my ways to start something new now. Or you may be thinking that too much time in your life has passed, and now it’s too late to make any changes or start anything new. Friend, take refuge in Psalm 118 . . . today is a new day! It’s never too late to begin again. It’s never too late to receive healing, restoration, and the gift of being made new by your Lord and Savior! He’s there, waiting with open arms for you to come on in. You can do the things He’s placed on your heart . . . He will make the next steps clear for you and direct you to take them.

No matter how much time has passed, we can make the active choice right now to make any changes in our lives that we need to make. Each day brings about new opportunities, and it’s up to us to make those moves! Philippians 4:13 ESV reminds us: “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” He is with you, and He can give you strength. Push away any doubt the enemy is trying to feed you, and go forward as the new you, ready to say “yes!” to whatever new things God is leading you to do! It’s never too late to change your life. You’re never too old to enter the workshop and let the Lord begin to restore you.

Think of this process as if you’d come out of a hair salon with a new look. As you come out restored, others will notice and want to know “where you went” so they can “get the look too.” This becomes your opportunity to spread the Word, letting others hear your story and learn about Jesus. You can use your story as a testimony to let others know that they aren’t alone and that we are all broken. Don’t let the enemy stand in your way of healing and being made new. It’s never too late to move forward into the light!
