Launching a Business God's Way

DAY 6 OF 6

Launching a Business God’s Way: Part VI

In my experience, patience doesn’t seem to be a virtue of many aspiring entrepreneurs. When someone gets an idea to launch a new business, they often want to start today, even though they don’t have the necessary funding to see it through to profitability.

I’ve seen this lead to businesses being started with a mountain of credit card debt or putting their family’s livelihood at risk unnecessarily.

Sometimes God gives us an idea in advance so that we can save and prepare for the future launch. When we shortcut that process it usually results in an underfunded business or settling for a less than desirable location.

Lamentations 3:25 teaches, “The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him.” (NIV)

When starting a new business be prepared to prayerfully answer the question, “When and where will this take place?” Build a plan and timeline that gives you the necessary time and money to succeed.

It will likely take patience, but don’t get ahead of God in the process.
