Shepherd of Her Soul: A 7-Day Plan From Psalm 23Sample

Your Shepherd Will Always Be With You
I once sent out a survey to thousands of women asking them to share their biggest challenge. One of the top answers was loneliness.
We long to know that we are known, accepted, and have a place to belong. So it deeply matters when our Shepherd says his goodness and love will follow us all the days of our lives, and we'll dwell in his house forever.
In ancient times, the members of a shepherd’s flock were a lot like his children. He had a deep attachment to them and affection for them. A good shepherd loved his sheep so much that he would not only provide for their needs, he would even be willing to lay down his life for them.
Especially in hard or lonely times, we can take comfort in knowing we are watched over by a Shepherd who loves us.
We’re not wandering through life on our own. We are led each day. We have an identity. We're with someone who is committed to our care.
We can always come to him and say, “I belong to you. You’ve promised to take care of me. Will you please help me?” He delights in answering that prayer.
Even in the moments when you feel lonely, you are never truly alone. You are wanted, pursued, and seen. You’re deeply loved and cherished as part of God's family and flock forever.
Good Shepherd, thank for you always being with me. I belong to you all the days of my life and forever. Amen.
What else does your heart want to say to God as you finish this plan today?
