The Gospel of MatthewSample

Faithful in the Small Things
We live in a culture where commitment often comes with conditions. If it’s convenient, we'll stay. If something better comes along, we move on. But that mindset doesn’t reflect the heart of a faithful follower of Jesus.
God doesn’t measure faithfulness by size or spotlight. He values consistency—showing up, even when it’s unnoticed. Faithfulness in the small things—how we serve, speak, love, or lead—sets the foundation for greater impact down the road.
The Master is looking for servants who are steady, not flashy. Who stay when it’s hard. Who give when no one’s watching. Who are prepared, not just for the moment, but for eternity.
We don’t know when Jesus will return, but we do know what He expects: faithfulness. Not perfection, but persistence. Not grandeur, but obedience.
Your daily decisions matter. The way you treat your family, handle your work, and care for others—these are the small things that reveal a big heart for God.
Respond to God’s Word:
Choose one small responsibility today—at home, at work, or in your church—and do it with excellence and joy. Be faithful in the little. God sees it all.
