The Gospel of MatthewSample

The Cross and the Empty Tomb
The miracle and the message of the Cross is this: Jesus stepped in. Where we deserved judgment, He offered mercy. Where sin demanded death, He gave His own life. Jesus lived perfectly—without flaw or failure—and then willingly suffered a brutal death on our behalf.
But the story didn’t end there.
Jesus conquered death. He walked out of the grave in power, securing our victory. His resurrection isn’t just a moment in history—it’s an invitation. An invitation to new life. To freedom. To hope. To joy that isn’t dependent on circumstance.
God’s love made a way. Not just for a few, not just for the strong, not just for the religious—but for whoever believes. That means you. That means now. When you put your trust in Jesus, you are welcomed into a life of grace, purpose, and eternal promise.
Today, rejoice in the Risen King! Let His victory change how you walk, speak, and live. You’re not just forgiven—you’re sent. You’ve got a story of resurrection to carry into a world still in need of hope.
Respond to God’s Word:
Celebrate Jesus today. A home with the message of Jesus is a home full of faith, hope, and love. My wife and I have five children, and often the rhythms of life are distracting and get in the way of what’s most important. What’s helped a great deal in our home is that every week we have a one-page guide that gives us a Bible verse, a worship song, seven questions for each day of the week to spark a short conversation with our family, and a short prayer to go through together. Something that only takes about 25 minutes a day has helped us be intentional about the precious time we have with our family.
