12stone Camp Devotional

DAY 4 OF 14

Devotional Thought:

Death doesn’t just mean the end of life. It means the end of connection. It cuts you off—from God, from people, from purpose. That’s what sin did to us. It isolated us. But Jesus stepped into our isolation to bring us back—back to life, back to God, back to each other. Paul says Jesus tore down the walls between us and gave us a place to belong. That place is called the Church. The Church isn’t just a place where Christians hang out. It’s where God lives. His Spirit shows up when His people come together. In the Church, we’re reunited with God, we’re united with each other, and we find the purpose we were made for—to grow, to love, to build something bigger than ourselves.

Reflection Question:

How have you been treating the Church—as a place you go to or a people you belong to?

About this Plan

12stone Camp Devotional

The book of Ephesians is a letter written by Paul while imprisoned in Rome. He wrote to encourage believers in Ephesus, a wealthy city known for trade and idol worship. These Christians had once been far from God but were now learning what it meant to be found in Him. Paul reminded them of their new identity in Christ and called them to live differently—treating others well, speaking kindly, obeying, and standing strong in faith through life’s challenges. Join us in this 14-day devotional as we unpack Ephesians and what it means to follow Jesus!
