DAY 2 OF 4

Will Jesus Reject Me Too?

Hey Sister, can I ask you something personal?

Have you ever been in a relationship where your worth wasn’t seen, where you were treated like you didn’t matter? Or maybe, if you're honest, you've been the one who’s questioned your own value. You've let other people’s opinions shape how you see yourself. I've been there too.

That’s why I love the story of the Samaritan woman in John 4.

There were so many reasons she shouldn’t have had an encounter with Jesus. She was a woman, a Samaritan, and someone with a complicated, messy past. Culturally, Jews didn’t even associate with Samaritans, so imagine her shock when Jesus spoke directly to her. She must’ve wondered, "Why me?"

But here’s the beautiful part: Jesus had to go through Samaria. Not because it was convenient, but because He had a divine appointment with her.

She didn’t know it, but her whole life was about to change because Jesus saw her. Not for what she’d done, not for where she’d been, but for who she was: deeply loved and worthy of redemption.

Maybe today you’re in a dry, lonely place. Maybe you’re asking, “Will Jesus reject me too?”

Sister, hear this clearly: He is nothing like the ones who hurt you.
He’s not coming to judge you, He’s coming to restore you. He already sees your heart, and still, He chooses you.

He had to go through your version of Samaria to meet you here. Right in your wilderness.

Prayer: Jesus, thank You for meeting me in the places I thought were too broken, too far gone. Help me to stop running from the parts of my story I’ve been ashamed of. Teach me to see myself the way You see me, loved, valued, and worth pursuing. Remind me that You’re not here to reject me, but to redeem me. I trust You with my heart, even the hidden parts. Amen.

Reflection:

How might your life, thoughts, or behavior shift if you fully embraced the truth that Jesus will never reject you?
