Winter Warm-Up Sample

"Then Peter replied, 'I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism. In every nation he accepts those who fear him and do what is right.'" — Acts 10:34–35 (NLT)

Acts 10 is a powerful reminder that God’s love and salvation are for everyone, not just a select few. Peter’s encounter with Cornelius shattered his assumptions about who could belong in God's family. Sometimes, we don’t even realize the walls we build: walls of culture, background, or appearance. I once hesitated to befriend someone because we had little in common, but God used that person to teach me about grace, kindness, and faith. Like Peter, we are often surprised by the people God uses and accepts.

Ask God to show you any unspoken barriers you've put up toward others. Today, take one intentional step to reach out to someone who’s different from you—through a kind word, an invitation, or simply by listening.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You that You show no favoritism and that Your love is for everyone. Help me to see people through Your eyes, not my own assumptions. Break down any walls in my heart and teach me to love boldly and freely, just like You do. Amen.
