Winter Warm-Up Sample

"For troubleswithout number surround me; my sins have overtaken me, and I cannot see.
They are more than the hairs of my head, and my heart fails within me" - Psalm 40:12 (NIV)

Romans 3:10 says no one is righteous, not even one. We were born into a fallen world, we have all sinned against God, all have fallen short of His glory. That is why the Good news is so good! Ours sins (which are many), our struggles can feel overwhelming, can feel so big and unforgivable we just can’t see a way out. But as you read on in Psalm 40, King David says there is joy and gladness for those who seek God.

Shout “The LORD is Great!”, praise Him. Take it to Him, He is Just and worthy to forgive you. Don’t ignore your sins or the things you are struggling with. Seek God, ask for forgiveness, the declare “The LORD is Great!”

Prayer:

Lord, You see all and know all, please help me to overcome my sin and struggles. Today I ask for Your forgiveness. Please remove the feelings of shame and guilt that comes with my old self and fill me with joy and gladness. Thank You for Your forgiveness. I praise Your Holy name. The Lord is Great! Amen.
