EquipHer Vol. 24: "Who’s Economy Are You Working For?"Sample

Day 3 – The Impact of Generosity
Greed says, “The more I keep, the more I have.” God-shaped generosity says, “The more I give, the more God multiplies.”
Generosity is one of the most powerful forms of leadership. How? Because when we choose generosity as our currency, we’re contributing to something bigger than our own advancement—we’re investing in people, culture, and Kingdom values that outlive our individual success.
In the workplace, generosity can take many forms: celebrating another woman’s success, sharing a contact, insight, or opportunity (even if it means less spotlight for you), or offering honest, constructive feedback to help someone else improve. This kind of generosity isn’t measured in numbers—it’s measured in impact.
In the Gospel, Jesus watched a poor widow drop two coins into the offering box (Mark 12:41–44). To many other people, her offering seemed insignificant, but in God’s economy, the impact of her gift outweighed every large, number donation—because it came from her whole heart. That’s how heaven measures value: not in how much, but in how you give it.
Generosity won’t drain you—it’s the very channel through which God pours true wealth: authentic relationships, trusted partnerships, solid reputation, spiritual favor. When you sow with His currency, you will reap far more than what you give.
Practical Challenge:
Pick one resource you usually hold tight—your time, your platform, your energy—and offer it generously to someone today. Pay attention not just to the outcome, but to what it stirs in your own heart.
Prayer:
Lord, help me choose generosity even when it feels risky. Teach me how to spend Your currency—to give freely, bless others without calculation, and trust You with the return. I want to build with Your values, knowing every act of giving in Your hands can multiply. Amen.

About this Plan

In today’s world—especially in business —value is often measured in numbers: money, statistics, followers, etc. This type of “currency” tends to breed competition, fear, and a scarcity mentality, however, there is good news. God operates with a different kind of currency. His economy is built on faith, love, justice, and generosity. In this devotional, we’ll explore how to spend God’s currency in our careers, allowing His values to transform our leadership, our decisions, and our definition of success.
