Seeing With Your Ears

DAY 7 OF 10

When God Sets It Right

In a time when chaos swirls in our lives and in our nations, God is reminding us that the solution is not in human strength or systems, but in returning to the foundation of His promises. Many believers have become overwhelmed because they have been trying to survive on feelings, not on faith. But what holds us steady is not what we feel—it's what God has said.

From the very beginning of our lives, we are sustained by promises: parents, friends, spouses, leaders—everyone makes them. But every earthly disappointment can be traced back to one root: a broken promise. God's promises, however, are unbreakable. They are not like man’s—His cannot fail. He is not man that He should lie. If He said it, He will do it.

In this season, God is calling us to return to the Word, not just to read it, but to meditate on it day and night, to let it live in our mouths. We can no longer afford to live on secondhand prophecy or devotional crumbs. The real shift happens when the Word is in our mouths—spoken, declared, meditated upon. That is how we align chaos into order.

Elijah stood in the middle of a nation divided, challenged by prophets of Baal and Asherah, and seemingly alone. Yet, when Elijah stood on the foundation of what God had said, the fire of God came. His confidence was not in emotion, crowds, or politics. It was in the covenant—the God who answers by fire.

When your home is in chaos, your health is under attack, your prayers seem to go unanswered, it is not time to turn away. It’s time to stand your ground on what God has said. God does not show up because we cry. He shows up when we pray His promises. The Word pulls the Promise Keeper into the scene.

In treacherous times, prayer and fasting must replace opinions and debates. When nations are shaken, God calls His people to rise—not with noise, but with prayer. Like the prophets hidden in Obadiah’s cave, a remnant is rising unseen but armed with the Word of God. And soon, what has been hidden will be revealed.

The season we’re entering requires resolve. No more wavering between two opinions. Either God is God or He isn’t. Either His Word is true, or it isn’t. God is separating the casual from the committed, not to shame anyone, but to prepare us for what He is about to do. He is setting things right—but only where the promise has been planted.

You are not lacking resources—you are lacking order. And order comes through His Word. You don’t need a new prophecy. You need to find your promise in Scripture, declare it, and stand firm on it. When that becomes your foundation, God will set things right—in your life, your family, your church, and your nation.

Reflection Questions:

  1. What areas of your life currently feel chaotic or out of order?
  2. What specific promise from Scripture are you holding onto in this season?
  3. Have you been relying on emotions, people, or external signs more than on the Word of God?

Action Step:

This week, search Scripture for one promise that speaks directly to your current situation. Write it down, memorize it, and declare it aloud every day. Let that Word become your anchor. Also, gather your household at least once this week for prayer and agreement around that promise.

About this Plan

Seeing With Your Ears

"Seeing with Your Ears" is a devotional plan that teaches believers to prioritize hearing God's voice over relying on natural sight, especially during crisis or uncertainty. It explores how faith comes by hearing, emphasizing spiritual sensitivity, obedience, and trust in God's Word even when circumstances seem contrary. The plan encourages believers to walk by faith, develop discernment, and live by divine revelation rather than emotional or physical evidence.
