DAY 1 OF 14

Commit Your Mission to the Lord

In two weeks, you’ll step into a new place—maybe familiar, maybe new. You’ve said “yes” to God’s call to serve on this mission trek, even if the full reason isn’t clear yet. This is a journey of faith and service, and as you prepare, let’s reflect on Proverbs 16:3 (NIV):
"Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and He will establish your plans."

Commit to the LORD Whatever You Do
The word “commit” here is powerful. In the original language, it means “to roll.” It’s an invitation to roll your plans over to God and leave them there. It’s more than a casual promise—it’s a deep surrender, trusting God with what you’re about to do. This mission isn’t just about what you do for others, but also about what God will do in and through you.

When you commit your plans to God, your fears and doubts can begin to fade. Remember 2 Corinthians 12:9, where God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness. Surrendering your plans frees you to rest in God’s goodness and promises.

And He Will Establish Your Plans
Stepping out in faith means partnering with God. When you commit your actions, God delights in guiding your steps. The plans you make will be infused with His wisdom and grace.

Mission work is full of unknowns and challenges. This verse doesn’t promise specific outcomes or even that you’ll fully understand God’s plan. But you can trust He’s working behind the scenes. Every act of service, every prayer, and every word spoken will contribute to God’s eternal purposes.

A Life of Surrender and Purpose
Mission treks offer a unique chance to experience God’s faithfulness in new ways. When you step out of your comfort zone and rely on His guidance, you’ll see His provision in powerful ways that will leave a lasting impact on your heart.

As you prepare to go, hold Proverbs 16:3 close. Let it remind you daily that as you commit your mission to God, He will establish His plans through you. Embrace each challenge, each encounter, and every moment with humility, surrender, and gratitude.

May your time be a testament to God’s transformative love, and may you return with a heart full of stories about His faithfulness. Start praying for this now.
