DAY 16 OF 21

Persevering Through Persecution

Reflect:

Jesus’ words remind us that persecution is not a sign of failure but of faithfulness. The world may oppose us because of our commitment to Christ, but in the midst of suffering, we are called to rejoice. This joy comes from knowing that our reward in heaven is secure and far exceeds anything we could face on earth.

The promise of a heavenly reward encourages us to persevere through trials. We are part of a long line of believers, including the prophets, who faced persecution for their faith. Their example shows us that enduring hardships for Jesus’ sake is a mark of true discipleship and a testimony to the world.

As we face challenges, we must lean on our Gospel partners. Just as we are called to share our faith, we are also called to support one another through persecution. Encouraging each other, praying together, and standing firm as a community strengthens our resolve and helps us to remain faithful.

Respond:

Take time to reflect on any challenges or persecutions you may be facing because of your faith. Thank God for the promise of a great reward in heaven.

Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with joy and perseverance in the face of opposition. Pray for your Gospel partners, asking for strength and unity as you support each other through trials.

Remember that God is with you and that your reward in heaven is worth the struggle. Step forward in faith, knowing that you are blessed and that your endurance brings glory to God.
