Gospel Next – Repent and Believe

Repentance is not just a moment of turning from sin; it is a continuous change in direction toward God. In the same way that the first disciples responded to Jesus’ call with repentance and belief, we are called to reorient our hearts and lives toward Him daily.

This journey of transformation is not meant to be walked alone. God provides Gospel partners—those who walk alongside us in faith—to encourage, support, and hold us accountable. Just as repentance brings refreshing and renewal from the Lord, Gospel partnerships bring strength and joy in the journey.

Think of how Paul encouraged repentance in the churches he wrote to, often working with Gospel partners like Timothy, Silas, or Barnabas. In the same way, we can partner with others to share the message of repentance and experience its transforming power together.

Respond:

Take time to reflect on areas in your life where repentance is needed. In the same way that God calls us to turn toward Him, consider how you can encourage others to do the same.

Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in repentance and to strengthen your relationships with Gospel partners. Pray for wisdom, humility, and courage to live a life that reflects the change Jesus has brought into your heart. Then, reach out to a Gospel partner for mutual encouragement and accountability as you both walk in the refreshing presence of the Lord.
