Victory

DAY 5 OF 5

What is your declaration?

Have you ever had the thought, ‘There’s just one thing after the other lately’? Well, you’re in good company. Joseph’s troubles began when he was only 17 and continued until he was roughly 30 years old. He went from being the most beloved son of his father to being sold into slavery, accused of assault, forgotten in prison… yet there are verses throughout his story that give us hope.

Genesis 39:2 – ‘The Lord was with Joseph so that he prospered’ and verse 23 – ‘The warden paid no attention to anything under Joseph’s care, because the Lord was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he did.’

Joseph’s story begins with dreams from God. He has to endure seasons of hardship, trauma and fear, yet through it all, he remains steadfast in his belief that the Lord is with him. He continues to love those around him, he works hard, he remains a man of sound morals and beliefs. And at the end of his story, he finds himself stepping into the fulfilment of those dreams, claiming the victory he was promised by God!

Whatever the ‘middle’ of your story looks like, make this passage from Romans 8:31 your declaration of victory today – ‘What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?’ (ESV).

Day 4

About this Plan

Victory

“Sometimes, in what we think is defeat, God is positioning us for something far greater – a deeper relationship with Him, a greater understanding of His race, and a victory that far exceeds our expectations” (Victory Doesn’t Always Feel Like A Win – Susie Holt). If you find yourself in a challenging season, be encouraged by this plan as you learn about the victory that you have in Jesus!
