Miracles and Mysteries: Matthew 8-13Sample

Does God’s kingdom seem small to you?
A tiny mustard seed grows into a massive tree. A small amount of yeast works through a whole batch of dough. Jesus uses these images to show that God’s kingdom may start small, but it grows far beyond expectation.
The glory of Jesus is seen in His all-nations mission. What seemed insignificant in a backwater province of Rome would spread to the ends of the earth. This fulfills Old Testament passages like Daniel 2:35, where God’s kingdom is likened to a rock that fills the whole world. What Jesus began in obscurity will one day be undeniable.
Today, ponder this: Do you trust that God is working, even when His kingdom seems small?
