Sealed - Part 3

DAY 6 OF 7

DAY 6: The Seal of God

In the last days, as stated in Revelation, God will command His angels to bring severe judgment upon the earth. However, these angels will not carry out their orders until those who serve Jesus are sealed with the seal of God, for those whom God marks will be preserved.

The Lord will protect His people from His wrath with the seal of God, just as Israel was protected during the plagues of Egypt in Goshen. At that time, God also sent the angel of death to bring judgment upon Egypt, but those who had the mark of the blood of a lamb on the doorposts of their homes were spared and protected. The last days of this age will be like the days of Moses.

Later, Ezekiel also spoke about a mark for God’s people. The Lord will not release His judgment until the angel marks or seals the foreheads of the righteous. In Hebrew, the word for "mark" is tāv, which is also the name of the last letter of the alphabet. The Hebrew letter tāv in Ezekiel’s time had the shape of a cross. Therefore, when Ezekiel spoke of the prophetic mark or seal of God that would protect people, he could see that human salvation and blessing were due to the Cross of Christ.

We are living in a time when the seal of God is being placed on our foreheads, marking us as His people whose only Lord is Jesus.

At the same time that God is sealing His people, the world will force people to receive another seal—a mark that will symbolize total trust and loyalty to man-made systems driven by the spirits and narratives of the Antichrist. The seal of God during the tribulation is the direct opposite of the mark of the beast, which identifies people as followers of Satan.

Unlike the Egyptian story, where the seal brought deliverance to entire families, the seal of God now belongs to individuals who believe with all their souls and are fully convinced that Jesus alone is Lord.

The essence of God’s seal is love. Jesus said that we would have troubles in this world, but those who are sealed have a joy that no pain or danger can take away. It is a joy rooted in the security that their names are written in the Book of Life.

For such people, death has no sting; the grave has no victory. They face hunger, nakedness, danger, and the sword, yet they are more than conquerors. No plague can strike those who have the seal of God on their foreheads because they know that God’s love for them is stronger than death.

My Prayer:

(Based on the Prayer from Psalm 119, letter "tāv")

My God and my Father, let my cry come before You, Lord! Give me understanding according to Your word. Let my supplication reach You. Deliver me according to Your promise. My lips will overflow with praise, for You teach me Your decrees. My tongue will sing of Your word, for all Your commandments are righteous. Let Your hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen Your precepts.
I long for Your salvation, Lord; Your law is my delight. Let me live so that I may praise You and Your ordinances sustain me. I have wandered like a lost sheep; come and seek Your servant, for I have not forgotten Your commandments.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
