Day 4: Come, See, Go and Tell

Imagine standing at the empty tomb, where Mary Magdalene and the other Mary discovered the breathtaking truth of the Resurrection. As they approached, their hearts heavy with grief, they encountered the unexpected—a rolled-away stone, an angel and the declaration that changed everything: “He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.” These words, filled with hope and triumph, reverberate through time, inviting us into a story of life restored and hope renewed.

In our lives, we often find ourselves in silent Saturdays—moments between despair and breakthrough, when dreams seem dead, and hope feels distant. But Easter reminds us that Sunday always comes. The power of the Resurrection proclaims that no situation is beyond God's ability to transform.

The angel’s invitation to “come and see” is one we must embrace daily. It calls us to step close, to witness for ourselves the transformative power of Jesus. As we see, we are then commissioned to “go and tell.” Christine Caine has said, “Jesus has commissioned us to come and see for ourselves and then go into a lost and broken world and declare loudly that he is alive.”
