Easter Changes EverythingSample

Day 3: The Sacrifice of Jesus
The story of Easter is a profound reminder of our immeasurable worth in God’s eyes. As Lisa Harper reflects in her teaching, Easter is not merely a season; it defines us as loved and redeemed people. At the heart of the Easter message is a Savior who willingly endured suffering, humiliation, and death because he believes we are worth it.
Imagine the Roman Centurion standing by the cross—a hardened soldier, familiar with brutality, who never witnessed Jesus’ miracles or teachings. Yet, as he watched Jesus suffer, something pierced through the darkness of that day. “Truly this man was the Son of God,” he declared. In that moment, the Centurion saw the true kingship of Jesus—not in triumph or splendor, but in sacrificial love.
This love is for you. Even in your worst moments, Jesus looks at you and says, “You are worth it.” He bore the cross, not reluctantly, but because of his deep love for you and the hope of eternity together. No circumstance, no failure, no doubt can separate you from this love.
Today, let this truth anchor your heart. Whatever burdens you carry, remember: the king of all kings sees you, knows you, and calls you his own. Hold on to hope. You are deeply loved and eternally valuable.
Today's Reflection Question:
When was the last time you thanked Jesus for sacrificing his life for you? Spend time today expressing your gratitude to him.
Prayer:
“Jesus, you willingly gave up your last breath before the resurrection because you think I’m worth it. Please help me never miss an opportunity to give you thanks. Help me to understand the depths of your sacrificial love so I can more clearly emulate you in this beautiful, broken world. In your name, I pray, amen."
