Have you ever noticed how ten minutes of scrolling on your phone fly by, but ten minutes of silence feels like a lifetime?

God doesn’t have that problem; with God math, a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is like a day. 😵‍💫

A thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like a watch in the night. – Psalms 90:4

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. – 2 Peter 3:8

As humans, we try to understand God with our mortal minds to the best of our capacity. But God is so much bigger, greater and more powerful than we could comprehend! His perception of time is a great example of that.

How can a thousand years be like a day and vice versa? It is simply unfathomable for our human logic.

God stands above everything–including time. He invented it! Our concept of time and our calendar are based on the movements of the earth, the sun, and the moon, all of which are created by God!

What is even more mind-blowing 🤯 is that He already had us on His mind, even before the beginning of time.

He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time. – 2 Timothy 1:9

Take a moment today to praise and worship God for his unfathomable greatness.
