How to Start Well and Finish GreatSample

Watch What You Worship
Who or what do you adore? What gets your attention long enough to get you fixated on it? What are you passionate about? Who is your devotion directed to?
It’s possible that you had different answers for each of the above questions, but the fact of the matter is that anyone or anything that takes up all our affection and attention is what we worship. In a perfect world, we would have said that was God, but we don’t live in such a time or era. The distractions are many. The pursuits are widely varied. The possibilities are endless. So how do we stay loyal and committed in our worship of the One, True God?
The simple answer is that we must love Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. When we pursue Him out of love, not out of duty, it changes the pursuit completely. When we obey Him out of love, not out of obligation, it changes our heart’s internal condition totally. Once we begin to grow in our love for him, the obvious response is to worship Him. Our worship is most authentic when it comes out of the overflow of our love for Him. He first loved us, yes, but when we begin to grasp that love and its never-ending abundance, we cannot restrain ourselves from worshiping him with everything we have.
Worship is not just what we do in church accompanied by music, along with fellow lovers of Jesus. It is our very lives being offered to God as a sacrifice. Quite literally, it means that everything we do from eating, sleeping, working, studying, marrying, parenting and fellowshipping - all of it becomes worship when we bring it to Christ as an offering. When he touches these seemingly ordinary parts of our lives, they become a sweet-smelling offering that brings glory to God and blesses all those around us. Isn’t that amazing?
Tip:
Think of all the things that you are involved in on a regular basis. Add on the things you desire to do or are passionate about. Take those things to God in prayer and ask Him to bless all of it and use it for His glory.
