A Living Hope

DAY 1 OF 36

DAY 1

Jesus’ Birth: Prophecies and Fulfilment

From the very beginning, God had a plan to redeem humanity. Long before Jesus was born in Bethlehem, the prophets spoke of His coming. Isaiah declared:

“The Lord Himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a Child! She will give birth to a Son and will call Him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’).” (Isaiah 7:14, NLT)

For generations, God’s people held on to these promises, waiting for the Messiah who would bring salvation. Then, at just the right time, the prophecy was fulfilled. An angel appeared to Joseph, confirming that Mary’s Child was conceived by the Holy Spirit:

“She will have a Son, and you are to name Him Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21, NLT)

This was the moment history had been waiting for—the promised Saviour had come! Jesus’ birth was not an accident or coincidence; it was God’s divine plan unfolding. Every prophecy about Him came true, proving that God is faithful to His word.

As we begin this devotional journey, we will walk through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, seeing how He fulfilled God’s promises and secured our salvation. Today, take a moment to reflect on the wonder of Christ’s birth. The long-awaited Messiah arrived, and because of Him, we have hope, joy, and redemption.

About this Plan

A Living Hope

Jesus’ resurrection is more than an event in history—it is the foundation of our living hope. As we journey through this Easter devotional, we will link prophecy to fulfilment, tracing how Christ’s life, death, and resurrection were foretold and fulfilled. Let us stand in awe of our risen Saviour, who not only conquered death but offers us new life, firm faith, and an eternal inheritance that can never be shaken.
