The Breath of LentSample

Sometimes, it is hard to "go through" -
It's hard to go through the rough patch of a marriage.
It's hard to go through the illness.
It's hard to go through the financial struggle.
It's hard to go through being misunderstood.
We must take our cue from Jesus, who "set his mind on things above" and gave Him the strength to go through the impending pain and humiliation.
Think of a time when you went through a trial, clung to Jesus, and could prevail in His strength. This was your moment of being most Christlike. Jesus was the Savior who prevailed. Remember His many times of going through misunderstanding, ridicule, and humiliation, and thank Him for his example. As you do, remember the perseverance of Jesus, breathe this breath prayer:
Inhale: Lord, make me more aware
Exhale: of all You've done for me.
