The Breath of LentSample

An important part of preparing to receive all that Holy Week has for us is having a proper mindset. Great athletes, valiant soldiers, prolific educators, and statesmen have made their mark on the world because of focus and perseverance.
Today's scripture is all about proper word emphasis. Read it again…maybe twice…and out loud if you are able. Each time you do, make sure the emphasis is on the word "will." This is an act of stating your intention for the activities of the day ahead.
We will see in the coming week that Jesus was focused. He stated his intention of fulfilling His Heavenly Father's mission with each step toward the cross.
Be reminded of your stated intention of unwavering faith today with this week's breath prayer:
Inhale: Lord, make me more aware
Exhale: of all You've done for me.
