The Breath of LentSample

When we take the time to look back over our walk with the Lord, we will see that we were closest to Him when we were going through trials and hardships. That is when we cling tightly and stay focused on Him. It is the "daily days" that can be challenging. We don't have a sense of urgency in our relationship with Him because we can handle the everyday "stuff."
Today's scripture challenges us to give God the routine, normal days, for that can be the greater test. When we feel we can handle it, we take a step further away from His presence.
When you sense some distance between your spirit and His Spirit today, remember this week's breath prayer:
Inhale: Lord, make me more aware
Exhale: of all You've done for me.
