The Breath of LentSample

This week, we are focusing on the theme of choices. Today, we focus on verse 5 of Psalm 143, “I remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all your works and consider what your hands have done.” Getting caught up in the details at hand can be easy when facing decisions. Maybe you make lists of pros and cons. For many, the more significant the impact of the decision, the more consuming the decision can become. However, there is value in taking a moment to “remember the days of long ago.”
Remember what the Lord has done in your life already. Take a few moments to meditate and reflect on the places that the Lord has already shown up in your life, the moments of faithfulness and pleasant surprise, and recognize the hand of God in those moments. Whether facing a life-altering decision or a day filled with common choices, you can rest secure knowing that the Lord’s unfailing love will be with you.
Inhale: Teach me to do your will
Exhale: for you are my God.
