Lent Youth Guide | Jesus' Real Talk During His Hardest & Darkest MomentsSample

Think:
When you think about God, do you see Him as someone who is generous, even when things are tough? Jesus’ life shows us that God is always giving—whether it’s healing people, feeding those in need, or offering forgiveness. God’s nature is to bless and provide for us. When Jesus asks, “Who do you say that I am?” we should respond, “You are the generous God who gives more than we can imagine.”
Live:
A lot of the time, we get a messed-up view of God’s generosity. We might think He’s holding back blessings, that we have to earn His goodness, or that some people get more than others. But Jesus shows us that God is always giving good gifts to His people. During Lent, we have a chance to think about how we see God's generosity. Do we trust that He will provide for us, or do we live like we have to figure everything out on our own?
Pray:
God, I want to know You for who You really are. Help me let go of any wrong ideas I have about You and replace them with the truth of Your love. Amen.

About this Plan

During this Lent journey, we will spend 40 days with the questions that Jesus asked in the last days of his life. You are invited to honestly grieve and explore His suffering experience with Jesus, in His fragility, His openness and His courage. You will be guided with four action words to help you on this Lent journey. You are invited to Read, Think, Live and Pray as we explore the real talk of Jesus during his hardest & darkest moments. You are invited to reflect on the content and your experiences at the end of each week.
