Last day! You made it. As you step into this lifelong journey, one of the most important things to remember is to have the right people around you.

Maybe you’ve experienced this at school: when you sit around the right people who work hard, it’s much easier to stay focused and to get your work done. But when you sit around people who aren’t focused and listening, no matter how hard you try, it’s very difficult to stay focused.

Having the right people around you is so important! The people around you can lift you up or tear you down. And when it comes to your relationship with Jesus, you can either have people who point you towards Jesus and help you become more like him — or people who pull you away from him.

Make a decision to fill your life with people who love Jesus, and who point you towards him! That doesn’t mean to cut off friends who don’t know Jesus — in fact, God will use you to help point those friends towards Jesus. But it does mean prioritizing surrounding yourself with the right people!

One of the best ways to do this is to be part of a church family! Make it a priority to be in church (and youth) every week, and surround yourself with great people who will point you to Jesus!
