Consider It All JoySample

Even when you're struggling with discontent and fear, God is always ready to listen to you. He will cover you with peace and joy! Let these prayers be a guide for your conversation with Him.
When I Feel Ordinary
But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God.
1 Corinthians 1:27-29
God,
I feel ordinary today. Each mundane task I complete feels pointless in the grand scheme of things. The daily grind reminds me how I’m not necessarily wise. I’m not powerful. And I’m certainly not someone who is worth a lot of money.
But Your Word tells me how You chose what humans perceive as ordinary to display Your glory. You reveal a greater purpose through the ordinary—Your might and power and wisdom displayed to all of humanity. I praise You for choosing the foolish in the world to shame the wise! Not because I desire shame on others, but because most days, my tasks feel low and despised in the world. Knowing You choose me despite those feelings brings joy to my soul! May I look at my ordinary as a joyful reminder of how glorious and magnificent You are.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
