We Grow: A Journey of Drawing Closer to GodSample

Day 350 of 365
In Psalm 81, God calls His people to listen to His voice, lamenting their tendency to turn away. Revelation 8 describes a powerful moment when the prayers of the saints rise before God as incense, underscoring the truth that our voices reach Him and that He hears us. The Holy Spirit, who dwells within us, teaches us to recognize and respond to God’s voice, helping us discern His guidance amid the noise of daily life.
Listening to God requires intentional quietness—a willingness to silence distractions and open our hearts. The Spirit helps us tune into God’s whispers, allowing us to draw close to His heart. It is often in the still, quiet moments that we hear Him best, gaining direction, comfort, and wisdom for our journey. This practice of listening is a discipline, yet it brings clarity and aligns our hearts with His purposes.
Today, ask the Holy Spirit to help you cultivate a listening heart. Set aside time to be still before God, letting Him speak into the depths of your soul. Trust that His voice will guide you, provide peace, and strengthen your connection to Him. May His presence become the anchor that holds you, drawing you into a deeper relationship with your Creator.
