God's Redemption Story (The Gospels)Sample

Life & Teachings of Jesus - Day 5
When Jesus was ready to start his ministry, he didn’t look for the best of the best to walk with him. He didn’t open the application period to the wealthy or privileged, graduates from top schools, or those with most experience. In stark contrast to every society mankind has ever developed, Jesus hand-picked his disciples to be the most average, everyday "joes". Fishermen, a tax-gatherer. Andrew brought his brother. Phillip grabbed his neighbor. This ragtag band of nobodies followed Jesus and changed the world.
We may think we’re unqualified to tell others about Jesus, but as long as we know him, we’re just the kind of servants God is looking for. Who will you share the good news with?
